Lantern Parade 12th December

Year 5 created a wonderful lantern, or rather whole solar system of lanterns, for the Bedminster Lantern parade. Yesterday we had a wonderful turn out from the whole school, we all did Holy Cross proud. Thank you to all those who came out to support and help carry the lanterns, especially those who helped navigate the sun in extremely windy conditions!

Learning this term!

This term in year 5 we have been doing a wide range of learning, from Earth and Space to Clockwork, fractions to complex sentences. We have read two great books this term - Clockwork and Cosmic and produced a wide range of writing using those ideas. In Maths we have been learning about: fractions, decimals, percentages and using our known number skills to solve a range of problems.

This term has been a busy and exciting term with a trip that was an amazing success to @ Bristol! The children have a great attitude to learning and I cannot wait until next term!
