Free the children - understanding children's rights

This morning Years 5 and 6 has an assembly led by Jacob, from WE day, informing the children of their rights. They were informed of how the organisation started and how they are freeing the children from poverty, give them clean water and access to education.

In the UK they help to support children in realising their dreams and how they can change the world.

Key message: all the little steps we take, add up to the big steps we make

1/4 of all children on this planet suffer from stunted growth!
870,000,000 people are malnourished globally!
1 in 8 people who don't have enough food.
Planet earth makes enough food each year to feed THREE planet earths!

How can we help out with global hunger?
We can send them food and create a sustainable solution by stopping the problem before it happens. We can do this by ensuring the countries are better at farming, more crops are grown and ensuring they all know what to do with what they have.

A question he think about before we sign off, if you could change one thing in Bristol what would it be and why?
